God Glimpses

Your life is a journey you must travel with a deep consciousness of God. It cost God plenty to get you out of that dead-end, empty-headed life you grew up in. He paid with Christ’s sacred blood, you know. He died like an unblemished, sacrificial lamb. And this was no afterthought. I Peter 1:18, 19

I have been brought up short with my own humanness. I’m not a perfect wife, hardly the Mom of the Year, and not the picture of profound poise. I grumble, mumble, complain, yell, take people and things for granted. Yet God gives me good things and He patiently waits without yanking away what I’ve become distracted by.

God sent Jesus Christ to pay for my sins so I could live forever with Him. He paid the price for my determined independence and offers me His joy, His love, His strength, Himself. He gives me all I need to overcome worry, weariness, hurt, and fear. He continues to graciously give. To me. Purpose. Love. Kindness. Forgiveness. Light. Life.

May I do all in my power to show that I’m living the good life. Dedicated follower of Jesus. Devoted wife. Diligent to softly mother.

Provide people with a glimpse of good living and of the living God. Philippians 2:15

I often believe that I have been such a ditsppoinament. But, know that when God sees me he sees Jesus. But, here is what I often think about. If God sees Jesus who died for all of our sins, what does Jesus see when he looks down on earth. I try so very hard to be a good person and when I try really hard, I fail. But, when I run to Jesus to say I am sorry, he holds out his arms takes me into a tight hug and tells me it is okay. Go try again but, let me help you. Each day is better than the day before.

Your comment, “Each day is better than the day before.” has encouraged me. Thanks for the reminder to run to Jesus!
